The Inner Altar

Above many other things on the Path of Asetianism we find a kernel holding together many forces. This is what we find within Self, our purest nature of being, our inner witness silently observing the unfolding of time through detachment. By this is meant a profound inner spark in consciousness, as the divine spark latent within our souls. A wellspring of clear energy and source of magick, attainable by the honest soul who dares to confront themselves in order to reach its sanctum. For to embark on the journey within necessitates the facing of demons so impactfully enhanced on this Violet Road; a journey for the strong and valiant. "People dream of dragon fire and sing for its power but only before seeing it enkindled upon their shadow; then they all scream the same. ☥" - Luis Marques, 14th of May 2019

In one way it might be viewed as such, that concerning what we should prioritize on a spiritual path from a generic impression of comparative religious studies for example, particularly as seen in right-hand religions or spiritual paths, we might be told to place our focus on something greater than ourselves, something outside of our small confines of individual insignificance, which holds a certain piece of the puzzle only understood by yet a proper view as key; for it is not by diminishing Self and its inward realization or evolution - conflating Self with self, Spirit with ego - that we attain to any measure of greatness but rather by understanding one as the microcosmic gateway to the greater macrocosmic reality. A true alignment of spirit with a profoundly sacred, higher cause. We might find, however, as Master Marques once wrote in the Book of Orion, to paraphrase upon its understanding also by own interpretation, in the view of the stars of the night sky a deep liberation from our ingrained egocentric views of ourselves and the seriousness with which our egos are taken, to take the example of looking outside to something greater for our spiritual insight but with a deep legitimate ground of something freeing when beholding the greatness of the cosmos, rather than to deny Self in favor of a higher power that only seeks to bind us or to limit our own capacity - like that which doesn't liberate the spark from within but forces through fear or by imposing servitude in decrees of religious law. Those have been abominable precursors to the erasure of genuine spirituality across time; a demiurgic shackle that we defiantly break through the onset of absolute freedom, celebrating path, banner and flame - daring to break the common herd's expectations and liberating magick within. For in Asetianism the way by which we align with the nature of the Path, through its devastating flames burning down the chains of ego and deceit, is by a deep honesty, starting with Self, singing to the violet hymn of Loyalty. We might then see a deeper journey unfolding into the mysteries that emerge out of a unification from within to without, of the above and the below; so, rather than burnt by the fire, soaring gracefully above on fiery wings, making the Flame our best friend and most precious ally - but also most honored tester through challenges and trials of initiation, opposing our weaknesses and leading us into the act of Kheperu; transformation and becoming - upon this journey of magick and spiritual evolution, ever through the honesty of a pure heart guided by the compass of soul.

It is then in this view that we find the inner altar to this divine alignment precisely within Self - devoid of ego or so having masterfully tamed it only to our higher service as a tool for balanced incarnation. The only container, as a brazier, by which we can honestly and soulfully embody that Flame, in a way finding an inner sanctum within our heart of hearts, our Ib of Ba, as the doorway of the inner temple, leading to the alignment with the Current and honoring the Flame of Aset as the unifying Essence of this Path. Within the heart of Self, within the Ib of Ba, an altar, raised in Her honor...
