The Metaphysical Nature of Reality: An Occult Point of View

The occultist may seek the hidden wisdom found in nature in a metaphysical vein first and foremost but also as tied to natural science and its possibly less obvious implications for how the energy of spirit interacts with the natural world, such as by its invisible ties to physiology and psychology via the lifeforce. The solid world of matter appears solid and so it will persistently seem to be when looking at it outwardly. That the world we inhabit in the physical realm is solid is yet, however, a stubborn illusion for even it moves to mind, energy and spirit, just in a far more subtle way; in a way that's behind the scenes of the intricate design of the world of matter, in a layer of the world that's above, behind or beneath that which is physically visible and concretely tangible. It's the higher realm of causes; subjective, magical causes beyond a world that appears to be truly objective, molding, shaping, playing with, working at, it, from different levels of subtle in...

Make a Lifetime Worth Remembering

I asked myself the question, since I don't have recollection of previous lives, at least not in a deeply conscious sense, even if there can be intuitive nudges and subtle familiarities, whether I'd like to have a fuller recollection of past lives in future lives, and then particularly taking into consideration this life since that's what I have to do with now. My answer to this was that I'd probably not like to have a recollection of this life, because there's not that much worth remembering, I thought, seen from a deeper spiritual perspective in my contemplation. Then I thought, as a counterforce to that very same realization, that even though there are some important happenings in this lifetime overall, that's echoed into my spiritual development, there's been a general trend of decline, but that in order to counteract this, make a lifetime worthy of remembrance. Then it'll stand as a beacon to other lives. Only by consistency in our pursuit of excelle...

The Way of the Warrior: A Practical Insight

A spiritual Warrior, in terms of being a Warrior indeed, is not a metaphoric construct of language but a literal, practical reality. It is the strengthening of a roaring inferno of a defiant and liberating power within by the onslaught of Will. A strenuous focus on energy, awareness and intent as a synergistic key to generating force. This force is felt within and actively enforced by strength. It allows the Warrior to enhance his psychic senses and so pierce into otherwise unusual perceptions of worlds, energy fields, spirits and so on. Thus, the Warrior births the Seer and the Seer requires oneself to be a Warrior.  As to a certain methodology of generating force apart from usual conditions of practice but that can be more potent in terms of a challenge, it is most conducive to find this practice in certain intensities of heat and cold or other general discomforts even regularly found in daily life, where the focus is to sit in meditative quietude and deeply strengthen your...

Critical Thinking & Standards in the Occult

Em Hotep, friends and readers...  (A text of critical thinking, different camps of the occult scene, and standards to that very same scene...)  The occult scene is in various respects, in so far as that a very public approach is taken, greatly nuanced but with many pitfalls of misunderstanding, weakening teachings of erroneous pretenses to wisdom, that can usurp the unquestioning intellect of the adherent into a frivolous cesspool of false teachers and approval seeking followers that vie for attention, both alike in that respect. Slaves of ego posing as masters of enlightenment and victims of lesser agendas falling prey by enslaving themselves to ego and weakness but sometimes also to the more misguiding influence of predatory teachers... On one end we have the fluffs of the occult, promulgating their basic and superfluous teachings, promoting it as being of occult genius, while on the other end we have the powerless and magickally devoid filth of cultish groups that seek the ...

The Path of Mastery and Way of Liberation

Nothing controls human nature as well as defining what is good and what is evil. The different religions of the world and the philosophers of antiquity figured this out. They figured it out for both the desire to control people towards good, or what they conceived of as good, to lead civilization in a higher direction, according to their conception of what is good. But they, or rather others among them, also figured this out to control people towards a morality of a false dichotomy between light and dark, so that their nature would be perpetually split between these two in an eternal battle reflecting the mythological state of the world and cosmos. These latter among religions and philosophers were set on making slaves out of people, reserving the truer understanding of balance, nature and life for themselves, in order to control the masses.  In Asetianism we find the perfect example of this dichotomy between light and dark, good and evil, being reconciled in the neutral indifferen...

The Inner Altar

Above many other things on the Path of Asetianism we find a kernel holding together many forces. This is what we find within Self, our purest nature of being, our inner witness silently observing the unfolding of time through detachment. By this is meant a profound inner spark in consciousness, as the divine spark latent within our souls. A wellspring of clear energy and source of magick, attainable by the honest soul who dares to confront themselves in order to reach its sanctum. For to embark on the journey within necessitates the facing of demons so impactfully enhanced on this Violet Road; a journey for the strong and valiant. "People dream of dragon fire and sing for its power but only before seeing it enkindled upon their shadow; then they all scream the same. ☥" - Luis Marques, 14th of May 2019 In one way it might be viewed as such, that concerning what we should prioritize on a spiritual path from a generic impression of comparative religious studies for example, part...

The Asetianist Path of Strength

Unbending strength. Ferocious strength. A strength that reaches down into the mystery of darkness and forbidden understanding as much as up into the light and spiritual wisdom. An edification of balance as song of alchemical secrets. Fierce and defiant. Bold and strong. Unyielding and relentless. The Asetianist Path of Strength may not be a definitive notion, as adapted terminology of the Aset Ka, to my knowledge at least, however it is my mere humble attempt to capture a deep and inseparable part of Asetianism; the road of Becoming, upon the darkest night as well as the brightest day, that inevitably calls for Strength - the rising of a Phoenix, and not the mere crumbling of ash...  Strength in Asetianism, of course, goes in tandem, not just with a powerful spirit, an unrelenting one, but with all knowledge of the mysteries, of magick, and its arcane wisdom. Strength is the call of the wilds, the flight of a swift hawk, and the predator that strikes down; it is the enduring of sil...
